ABOUT
The City 6 Women’s Hygiene & Beauty Drive is a community campaign founded by Kaylie Griffin, a member of the Saint Joseph’s University Women’s Basketball team. Inspired by the strong sense of unity within the City 6 Womens Basketball Teams in Philadelphia. This initiative brings together the City 6 schools during the Big 5 Tournament to make a meaningful difference off the court.
The goal of the drive is simple: to collect essential hygiene and beauty products — such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, and new makeup items — for local women’s shelters and domestic abuse programs across Philadelphia. Donation bins will be placed at each pod game and the championship, encouraging fans from every school to join in supporting women in need throughout our city.
ABOUT THE BIG 5
The Big 5 is a historic Philadelphia rivalry that takes place amongst (now) 6 of Philadelphias schools. St. Joe's, Temple, Drexel, Villanova, Penn and LaSalle. The Women's tournament takes place on December 7, 2025 in a round robin format and a championship triple header, called the "Big 5 Classic"
